Cover Reveal: Nowhere but Here by Renee Carlino

Synopsis

A Chicago reporter in her mid-twenties unexpectedly finds love in Napa Valley when she’s assigned to spend a week with a famously reclusive genius.

Kate Corbin has lost her spark. From the outside, her life seems charmed. She has a handsome, long-term boyfriend and a budding journalism career at a popular Chicago newspaper. But in reality, her relationship is going nowhere, and she’s quickly losing motivation for what she once believed was her dream job. When her boyfriend dumps her unceremoniously, Kate loses all hope of finding love.

With no living family and few friends, Kate confides in her boss. Trusting that the hungry, ace reporter is buried somewhere deep inside, he gives Kate the opportunity to jumpstart her career. The assignment: to interview the famously reclusive R.J. Lawson, a wealthy tech genius who disappeared years ago but recently reemerged as a Napa Valley vintner. The week takes an unexpected turn, however, when Lawson refuses to divulge any information. Desperate for a lead, Kate turns to Jamie, a vineyard hand who shows her the romance of wine country—and stirs her aching heart. But his connection to Lawson is ambiguous, and when Jamie disappears before the end of the week, Kate is left to investigate another story: the truth behind the man who stole her heart.

USA TODAY bestselling author RenĂ©e Carlino explored love and heartbreak in her beautifully written debut Sweet Thing, and her newest novel does not disappoint. For fans of Colleen Hoover, K.A. Tucker, and Katja Millay, Nowhere But Here is a stirring and satisfying romance that you won’t want to put down.

MEET RENEE!

Renee’s first friends were the imaginary kind and even though her characters haven’t gone away, thankfully the delusions have. She admits she’s a wildly hopeless romantic and she blames 80’s movies staring Molly Ringwald for that. She lives in Southern California with her husband, two sons, and their sweet dog June. When she’s not at the beach with her boys or working on the next book, she likes to spend her time reading, going to concerts, and eating dark chocolate.

Saving Forever by Jasinda Wilder

Synopsis

Ever and Cade,

Sorry I vanished like I did. I’m not sure I can even explain things. I don’t know when I’ll be back. IF I’ll be back. I’m not sure of anything, except that I love you, Ever. You’re my twin, my best friend, and leaving you was the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I know you don’t understand. Maybe you never will. I hope you don’t, honestly. It would be easier that way. That’s cowardly, I’m sure.

Cade, take care of her. Love her, the way she deserves. The way you always have, for forever and always.

If I could ask you anything, it’s that you remember me as I was, and forget me as I am.

I’m sorry, and goodbye, and I love you.

Eden

Review

Breathtakingly beautiful ending to my favourite series of Jasinda Wilder. This book is far by my favourite book of the Trilogy. If you are scared to read this book after what the first two books did to you than please don't be like me taking so LONG to read it. This book is exactly what you need after the heartbreaking previous two books did to us. Trust me because I was scared and I didn't need to be. ;)

Devour this book and savour it because you'll miss them when they end. I did. I tried making my kindle take me to the imaginary page in between the last chapter and the author's note. Seriously. I was trying to make another chapter out of sheer will of a crazy reader who wants more! Obviously it ended the way it needed to but when I was missing them already, I needed more for my own sanity! LOL. Moving on...

This book is exactly what the title says. Saving Forever.

“We had forever, and it was taken from us… Let’s save our forever, Cade. Please. Let’s take it back.”

Saving the reader's sanity, reader's heart and the character's forever.

The beauty of this series, especially this book, is that among so much tragedies these four characters faced, they are trying to live it out. To beat the pain. The sheer will of their determination to get back on their feet is incredible. Pain is so intricate that for everyone its defined differently. Some let themselves drown in it or others take one day at time and try to heal themselves.

“Sometimes, all you can do is push through. Make mistakes and accept them. You can’t always make the right decision. Sometimes there isn’t one. Sometimes there’s just everything getting all fucked up, and the only thing you can do is go through it and pick up the pieces on the other side."

There is this defining moment in our lives when choices burdens our heart so much you are literally in a maze trying to feel your way out because you are blinded by pain that you can't see what is exactly right in front of you. You expect everything to ruin after the major revelation. You guarantee yourself that forgiveness is something way out of your hands and that's when you are wrong. Forgiveness is given you can never know when you'll get it and you can't expect it. If you get it. Grab it on with both hands and NEVER let it go because you can't imagine how hard or how rare you get it.

Carter enters this series in Saving Forever and he is a carpenter by profession and heart. He builds beauty in the broken bits. Finds beauty in wood and presents it in such awestruck manner, that you stare and the emotions put in it strikes you in your heart and you perceive it in the manner that defines your experiences in your life. His life is shattered by his tragedy that even as a builder he can't piece back together.

Eden is burdened with guilt, pain, fear and the daunting unknown future. Eden really changes through Saving Forever, the image and hate you may have felt in After Forever changes. You feel compassionate towards her, you even love her. We all make mistakes whether they are big or small ones. I'm not saying I condone what she did but I understand her. I get her. And that is unbelievable for me because I hated her for what she did. I was so wrapped up in Ever that I couldn't see that she is self destructing herself and that she loves Ever as much as we do. That she is in a lot of pain. Ever is her twin after all. Their connection is something we all can never understand. I love her. She deserves another chance.

“Feeling love is easy. Living love, that’s the hard part.”

Ever and Cade both have a lot to move on from. Tragedy doesn't have a delete button - sadly! - that you can just delete out of your lives. Our lives is what we can make out of it. This is what Ever and Cade need to do move past the hurt, the guilt, their darkness and just take one step further out of the darkness into their light. Remember that falling in love and fighting to keep the love alive is to different things and the hardest part it doing your part in loving your love so much that everything else ceases to exist. Keep them happy.

All the missing pieces of puzzle slowly come along to make the puzzle of Carter, Eden, Ever and Caden. There are a few books I read that makes me so frustrated, upset and happy at the same time and this series together made me insane with too many feelings that I didn't know what to do about them. But books like this are what readers want - no need because this is the reason WHY we read and become obsessed with the characters that they are family.

"Forgiveness is a choice, and so is love.”

Cover Reveal: You'll Think of Me by Lucia Franco

Synopsis

Luke Jackson.

With his thick southern drawl and seductive charm, Luke is the country boy everyone adores. He has his future mapped out, but his plans with Olivia are suddenly derailed when she makes a decision that blindsides him and changes the path they both envisioned.

As Luke struggles to keep everything in check during a difficult time in his life, he must put his trust in the one person who broke it all to begin with. The last time they saw each other Olivia busted his heart wide open and turned him into the man he is today.

When Olivia returns to her roots just like Luke said she would, he's shocked for more reasons than one. It's been nine years since they've seen each other and when their roads collide unexpectedly, Luke can only push his worry and misgivings away for so long.

Things are different now, they're strangers. And the rope that once bound Olivia's heart to South Fork, Georgia is pulling her back in and forcing her to remember how it use to be all those years ago.

Release Date: Summer 2014

Cover Design: Regina Wamba of Mae I Design http://www.maeidesign.com/

Teaser One

Luke eyed Olivia closely. He could feel how tightly coiled her little body was enveloped his arms. It was written all over her face. She was like an open book to him, so easy to read yet she still tried to veil her emotions.

"Liv," Luke breathed. Olivia gazed up at him with her wide, brown eyes. They were heavy, but full of question.

"Don't think,” he demanded. “Just feel. Let the music roll through your body. Feel it in here," Luke drawled as he placed the backside of his knuckles to the side of her face and began a tantalizing downhill spiral along her damp skin. "And let it flow slowly through your body. Feel the words take over."

His voice, a steady deep hum of intense desire as he ran the back of his hand down her balmy neck and around the curve of her full breast exceedingly slow. Olivia listened to the lyrics as Luke caressed her body with his devious fingers. It was all too much to take. His thumb grazed the fullness of her heavy breasts and then down to her waist, placing his hand back where it had lain before, but taking his time as he did so. Olivia’s body crackled like electrical sparks twitching at the tips with need as she struggled not to tremble from his touch. She shouldn’t be craving the longing of his touch. It wasn’t right, yet she couldn’t control her body.

Not breaking their stare, he lifted the hem of her shirt and began gliding his fingers back and forth just above her shorts. "Let it take you away from your busy life and live in the moment with me,” he tugged her closer to him, tightening his arms and crushing her to him.

Teaser Two

Scrubbing his face with his hand, Luke mumbled “Livy, I-”

“Shhh…”

Olivia softly pressed a finger to Luke’s swollen lips, silencing him mid sentence. She didn’t want to hear his apology. Instead, Olivia rose on her toes, wavering slightly from the alcohol and placed her hands lightly on his brawny shoulders. She could feel the warmth radiating beneath his shirt and then from his palms when he gripped her hips tightly to steady her balance. The heat of his hands seared Olivia’s flesh, his fingers dug into her roughly while a flood of sensations rushed through her body. Olivia hovered closely in front of Luke, her heavily lidded eyes trained on his parted lips as she leaned in closely inhaling the sweet blend of beer and whiskey on his breath. Her heart picked up speed even faster. Olivia met Luke’s rousing gaze for a moment before she closed the distance with her lips and gave the softest kiss imaginable. A valediction kiss.

Groaning in both pleasure and regret, Olivia halfheartedly pulled back and broke the kiss. She licked her lips and opened her eyes to peer up at Luke. Silently they said so much to each other without having to say anything. Desire. Dejected. Adoration. Nothing about the silence felt good. It made her chest twinge with regret just reading his emotions as he squeezed her and stepped back.

It was still there for him.

Walking off the dance floor and past where she’d been sitting earlier, Olivia strode through a clouded mixture of smoke, the husky scent of humidity and the faint scent of aftershave. The cologne stopped Olivia dead in her tracks. That scent…she knew of no other who wore it but Nate. Bringing her hand to the back of her prickly neck, Olivia glanced around the darkly lit bar but was hardly able to get a glimpse of anyone from the mass of people. Nate had said he would be at his mothers, so maybe it was her imagination? Or possibly the amount of drinks she had? As fast as her legs would take her, Olivia high tailed it toward the door and went straight home. Alone.

Or are some obstacles just too big for the heart to overcome?

Review

I LOVE Priscilla Glenn so much!

COMING HOME is an awefreakingtasic read. It was bloody brilliant. I have no complains about this book. Ms. Glenn's writing has so many emotions packed in each and every word that they worm your way into your heart going deep deep deep into your soul. I bow down to each message she has in her books because they make my soul sing happily. My ravenous soul who is always famished for more knowledge absorbs so much in her books that when I'm finished I'm searching for more in that blank page staring at me. It's cycle that happens with each of her books.

One of the lines that touched me is...

"Will the reward be worth the suffering?"
You have to constantly remind yourself when there is so much pain surrounding you wrapped around you like a glove that whatever you are going through is worth it in the end. Does it even mean so much to you to go through it? It just sums it right up. Beautifully. Perfect to the T. I've always questioned the whys of going through pain but I never thought of it in the sense 'if its worth it' nor have I been able to articulate it perfectly and that sentence just did.

“There was something about him that spoke to a long-forgotten part of her – that awakened something dormant in her soul and made her want things again.”
Leah's friends and family are her best support system EVER. They are the best. If a girl has them than she seriously doesn't need anyone else. However, this guy comes in her life and he is slowing worming his way in her thoughts. Creating havoc of her emotions but does he live up what she already has. Does he deserve her? After her past she can't trust her judgement but this guy got her so caught up in his web that she has to make a choice, but than there is his secret which may changes things up. May mess up everything. What does Leah have to lose... everything.

“Being with him, talking to him, was the emotional equivalent of bungee jumping. There was the freedom, the adrenaline, the exhilaration of the fall, only to have it come to an abrupt halt, roughly yanking her back in the direction from which she came.”
I loved Danny DeLuca (he's name -sigh- tugs my heart) so much. He has such an amazing character that calls for attention. His devotion, loyalty, love and friendship is a breath of fresh air. Than on the other hand is his secret that has already made a mess of his life. Already has taken so much away. Does he even have room to add this beautiful, sweet girl into his life. Is it fair to bring her right in the middle of the mess. Than there is this other side of him that isn't so messed up, he has spectacular friends (like Jake - I love him! we need his book Priscilla!!) and his amazing Gram. I love that woman she is so... I don't even seem to have a word that could do justice to that sweet lady. Everyone needs a Gram like his in their life.

The beauty of this book is that it takes you in slowly, builds tension, tugs you into the story and you are only left with emotions that aren't yours but theirs. Mingled with your own. You finish with happy tears and a huge grin on your face. Your soul is fulfilled to its hearts content.

“… there wasn’t a doubt in her mind that the day she met Danny, the stars had aligned just for her.”

Worn Me Down by Tara Sivec

Synopsis

“Worn me down like a road. I did everything you told. Worn me down to my knees. I did everything to please.”

Austin Conrad has never taken his personal life seriously. As a Navy SEAL, he spends all of his time in dangerous, life-threatening situations. The only way to leave behind the horrors he’s seen throughout his career, is to turn it all off when he gets home. He’s too much of a playboy to settle down; even if he did find a woman he could stand to be around for more than one night, he would never taint her life with the demons of his past.

When his best friend and SEAL team member, Brady Marshall asks him to keep an eye on his baby sister, Gwen, Austin figures it will be a walk in the park. The only thing Austin likes more than flirting his way under a beautiful woman’s skin, is walking away with a smile on his face. Austin never expects that the single mom and her little girl will be the ones getting under his skin.

Gwen Stratford knows all too well about living in a nightmare. After taking her daughter and fleeing from her abusive husband in the middle of the night several months ago, she’s worked hard to get her life back on track and forget about the man who tried to break her. Growing up under the iron thumb of her parents and then moving right on with a man who ruled their marriage with his fists, Gwen is finally able to breathe and live her life the way she wants.

When scary, mysterious things begin to happen to Gwen and her daughter, she realizes you can never outrun your past; it always has a way of catching up with you. As she struggles with the desire to keep her newfound independence, she knows she won’t be able to protect herself and her child alone. She’ll need to lean on the one man who drives her crazy.

Can Gwen really put her trust in a man who thinks life is one big joke, or will he be just another man in her life who tries to wear her down?

Review

After A Beautiful Lie this is far by my favourite book of the Playing with Fire series. It's a deeply emotional book that shows how women, who've overcome domestic violence and abuse, get out as an even stronger woman. When they have lived and breathed that type of life its hard for the smartest woman to know when they need to get out. Eventually they will die a slow death as days go on. Whether its their partner killing them in the end or its because you give up.

Gwen couldn't afford to give up because she has this little angel of hers that she couldn't leave in this hell she has been living in and gets the hell out. Goes to her brother who've she hasn't spoken to ever since he left home hoping he takes her in and he does. But she's an independent and strong woman who works so hard in order to give her daughter the best.

Than there is Austin who've had a very hard life growing up and being a SEAL is the best thing that happened to him, going into dangerous situations and making changes is his life. He doesn't want it any other way. After his friend asks him a favour to look after his sister while he is gone, he says yes thinking its going to be easy job and getting under Gwen's skin is something he thoroughly enjoys however everything isn't as what he thought it would be like and the tables turn. From easy it went into a life threatening situation. He has to protect Gwen and her daughter with everything in him. Or he might lose so much more than he bargained for.

I love Austin so much! He was an amazing character and just what Gwen needed. What they were running away from is what they really need.

Gwen's daughter Emma is adorable. I want to hug and kiss that little girl. She is the cutest little angel and having her in this book made it even more better because that little girl is a little lady in hiding  who brought humor in to the story and shined it!

Emma's friendship with Austin just showed what kind of man Austin is. It is said the kids and dogs can judge a good character right away and that's what Emma did. Man did she nail it.

This book gave us the best of the worlds because we see Brady again (YAY!) just for a brief period and get to know what's happening with Layla and Brady after Because of You.

Beautifully written. So many feels. Just the right amount of humour and suspense. Kept me at the edge and Austin and Gwen's relationship was intense, beautiful, emotional and perrfffeecctttt!!! <3

Tara Sivec's book are fantabulous! I just don't have the right amount of words to describe how much I LOVED it!
