Review

Holy wow. This book completely killed me. I was numb with all these feelings coursing through me. I was a bundle of nerves holding on to my kindle tightly and keep changing pages. I was FRIGHTENED to read past the prologue. Oh my god. Ms. Brae's prologues are all killing Trisha worthy. God dammit I wasn't even going to read it right then because I was worried I was like WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED. What did I miss. Ohmigod. Is Alex okay? Is Isa Okay? Did I just enter parallel universe. I messaged Christine saying do I need to worry? And she just said read. I'm like okay I better read it or else I wouldn't able to sleep. Guess what happened. I stayed up into the early morning to finish. I finished. Than and only than did I breathe and quite happily. Ms Brae needs to known and the QUEEN OF ANGST.

This book was even better than THE LIGHT IN THE WOUND. That means if you have read my review for the first book you would know how much I wanted to throw my kindle across the room but in HWL I wanted to shake a lot of people. I wanted to shake them so hard that they would regain their senses.

This story is what happens after. It's real. When a books ends and it end happily well these people still are living and their life is bound to be full of problems. They are bound to run in to trouble it just depends on how they deal with it. It depends if Jesse is able to move on. It depends on Alex and Isa's relationship. Years go on and we reach to a point when reality decided to crash the party and make its presence known.

This book was a mind f**k I swear it was screwing with my mind but at the same time teaching me. Teaching me the everyone will go down the spiral, there will be days when thing go out of hand but how YOU react is in your hands. If you let what happened control you than just say goodbye to your soul because you aren't respecting yourself.

I mentioned this before but Christine Brae's writing is abso-freaking-lutely PHENOMENAL. I love her writing style its unique its so her. You can tell she is writing from her heart because all the emotions she felt I felt too. I wasn't just reading it I was THE characters. I was Isa. I was Alex. I was Jesse.

This book also made me understand Jesse. I really hated that guy. I'm honestly going to say that. What he did made me hate him. And I hated him more wondering if he's coming to ruin Alex's much needed happy ending with the girl he loves more than himself. Jesse actually surprised me he is a good guy and I'm grudgingly saying it, he just made the wrong choices and the fact is he isn't right for Isa not one bit. He also will make you understand him and turns out in these years he has grown up and you'll see it.

All you Alex fans. You will fall more in love him than you did in the first book and all you Jesse fans you all will love Alex SO much you might change sides. ;) LMAO.

This is one of my all time favourites of 2013. What a beautiful book that will stay FOREVER with me. Thank you Christine for writing HWL its my favourite out of the two books. Can't wait for more from you. <3

5 Isa, Alex and Paris AWEFREAKINGTASTIC Stars!!!!
